the one behind the lens
I’ll guide you through the entire process
My name is Isabella, I live in Okoboji, Iowa. I’m a wedding & elopement photographer. When I’m not photographing weddings, or helping clients plan an elopement- you’ll find me fueling my online shopping addiction.
I’m quite outdoorsy and charmingly sarcastic. I can promise you’ll laugh as much as we’ll create beautiful memories together.
I'M GOING TO DO THINGS A BIT DIFFERENTLY. THIS IS ABOUT YOU; THIS IS ABOUT TELLING YOUR STORY.
THE GUT-BUSTING LAUGHS
THE MOMENTS WHERE TIME STANDS STILL
LET'S CAPTURE THE REAL STUFF
I'VE NEVER BEEN INTERESTED IN THE STIFF AND STALE POSING APPROACH THAT WE'RE ALL TOO FAMILIAR WITH. MY PHILOSOPHY IS ABOUT DOCUMENTING THE REAL, RAW, AND SIMPLE LOVE — LIKE WHEN YOU FIRST SEE HIM WAITING FOR YOU AT THE END OF THE AISLE; WHEN YOUR DAD GETS CHOKED UP GIVING HIS RECEPTION SPEECH; WHEN YOUR NEW SPOUSE GRABS YOUR HAND UNDER THE TABLE WHEN NO-ONE'S LOOKING. MY PHOTOS ARE MEANT TO FREEZE TIME FOR JUST A MOMENT, ALLOWING YOU TO TRULY REMEMBER WHAT IT FELT LIKE TO BE THERE.
I'M NOT HERE TO CREATE PIXEL-PERFECT IMAGES, WE'RE HERE TO CAPTURE THE AUTHENTIC MOMENTS WHERE YOU FEEL MOST LOVED. LET'S TELL YOUR STORY, TOGETHER.

01. SHOULD YOU ELOPE?
People chose to elope for various reasons. I would love to find out why you opted for an elopement vs a traditional wedding ceremony, so we can better plan it.
02. PICK A LOCATION
Haven’t decided on a specific location yet? Worry not! We’ll talk about options and I’ll share from experience what works best depending on your needs.

03. SEASON & TIMELINE
Weather, seasonality and daylight play a crucial role in how your photos will turn out. We’ll discuss together and confirm the timeline for best results.

04. GUEST LIST
Are you eloping just the two of you? Or are you bringing any family and friends with you? There’s no right or wrong answer. We just need to plan it ahead.

05. LOGISTICS
Details such as housing, ceremony location, plane tickets, car rentals and other logistics need to be thought-through, confirmed and booked.

06. LEGAL DETAILS
If you’re tying the knot abroad, you’ll need to figure out what are the legal requirements and documents you need to prepare to make this happen.
FAQ
I. Are the travel expenses included in your packages or covered additionally?
Travel fees are included within my elopement collections! We can drive, fly, or walk to wherever you want to elope at no extra cost.
III. We want to include our dog into the elopement ceremony and photos, is that okay?
More than okay, it’s an absolute must! Including your furry family members makes for such beautiful and fun memories. We can try to include your dog into the actual wedding ceremony, as well as the formal family portraits.
V. Do we need a wedding officiant for our elopement?
There’s no wrong or right answer here. Some couples choose to tie the knot legally on their elopement day, others only do it for the photos and take care of the legal paper work before/after. Depending on where you plan to get married, I can definitely share a few recommendations of officiants I’ve worked with before, who are available for travel.
II. What if we want something more extreme for our elopement (hiking, diving, etc)?
I am down if you are! This day is about you and what memories you want to capture. No activities and locations are off the table. If you have a more extreme or unusual idea for your elopement, I’d love to hear it and see how we can bring it to life. The more details you share, the better we can plan it.
IV. How long does it take to recieve the photos after the elopement and how will those be delivered?
Around 2 weeks after your elopement you will receive an online gallery with up to 40 photo highlights, that you can share with family and friends, post on social media, etc. One month after that you will receive the entire photo collection as well as instructions on how to order and download your photos!
